Description
Quick and easy Swedish meatballs made with just three ingredients, perfect for a tasty dinner or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 1/4 cup gravy or sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, pepper, and onion if using. Mix with your hands until just combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch across.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Once shimmering, add the meatballs in a single layer.
- Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 8 to 10 minutes. Ensure they are cooked through.
- Alternatively, place the formed meatballs in a slow cooker and cover with gravy, cooking on low for 4 to 6 hours.
- Serve warm with a bit of gravy on top and garnish as desired.
Notes
For extra moist meatballs, consider adding an extra tablespoon of milk. Mixing beef with ground pork can enhance flavor and texture.
