Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the cauliflower into florets and pat them dry.
  2. Toss the cauliflower with olive oil on the baking sheet. Prepare the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan.
  3. Roast the cauliflower for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and slightly browned.
  4. Heat the sauce over medium heat until it simmers and thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes. Pour the warm sauce over the roasted cauliflower and toss to coat.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  1. For extra crispness, roast the cauliflower longer, but keep an eye to avoid burning. Make it gluten-free by swapping soy sauce for tamari.
