Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup milk
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups mashed potatoes, for serving

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onions over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
Add the mushrooms, beef broth, milk, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well and let it simmer for a minute.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
Serve over mashed potatoes, adding optional butter or parsley for garnish.
Notes
This dish can be made a day in advance and reheated. It also freezes well for future meals.
