Description

These banana oatmeal bars are a quick and healthy treat, perfect for breakfast or a snack, made with simple ingredients you likely have at home.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Stir in the rolled oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, chopped nuts or chocolate chips, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
