Cheesy Beef Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, cooked pasta, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Let the casserole rest so it sets. Drain the beef well for the best texture. Use quality cheese for improved flavor.
