Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to a greased casserole dish and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Pour marinara sauce over the meatloaf and top with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  1. Feel free to swap in ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Customize with your favorite cheese!
