- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced or sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add diced chicken breast to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to combine.
- Serve garnished with parsley.
Notes
Freshly grated parmesan melts smoother and tastes brighter than pre-grated. Optional: Add spinach for color or red pepper flakes for heat.
