Cottage Cheese Protein Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 8 oz whole wheat pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the lean ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, cottage cheese, and the beef mixture. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  1. Make ahead and reheat for a convenient meal. You can also freeze it for later.
