Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats and almond milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal has thickened.
  2. While the oatmeal is cooking, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced apple, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook until the apples are caramelized and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cinnamon into the oatmeal.
  4. Serve the oatmeal warm, topped with the caramelized apples. Enjoy your cozy fall breakfast!
