2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to even thickness and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Do not overcrowd the pan.
Pour in the cream and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits. Add Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Return chicken to the skillet, simmer for another 2 to 3 minutes, and spoon sauce over the chicken. Finish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the sauce; if it looks greasy, add a splash of cream or water. Freshly grated Parmesan produces the best results.
