- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes and stir well; let simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For added richness, consider using half and half with a tablespoon of butter if you don’t have heavy cream.
