Ingredients
200g pasta (fettuccine or penne)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic (minced)
400g canned diced tomatoes
200ml heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
Cook
the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat
olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir
in the canned diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.
Lower
the heat and mix in the heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add
the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it to coat in the creamy sauce.
Serve
hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Keep a little pasta water on standby to adjust the sauce consistency. Avoid overcooking the pasta and burning the garlic.
