Description
A quick and impressive salmon dish with a sticky honey garlic glaze that delivers the perfect balance of crunch and flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (skin on, about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prep the salmon by patting it dry with paper towels. Mince the garlic and measure the honey and soy sauce.
- In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic, and whisk until smooth.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and place the salmon skin side down, cooking for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the fillets, pour the honey garlic mixture around the fish, and reduce heat to medium. Spoon the glaze over the salmon and cook for another 2-4 minutes until done.
- Transfer salmon to plates, spoon any extra glaze over, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For a plant-based version, try crispy honey garlic tofu. For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
