Description

A delicious and easy crockpot French dip recipe that requires minimal effort and delivers maximum flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French rolls or hoagie buns
  • Provolone cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Add sliced onions, minced garlic, beef broth, water, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes (8 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours).
  4. Once done, remove the beef, shred it, and return to the pot to soak in the juices.
  5. Serve the shredded beef on French rolls or hoagie buns topped with provolone cheese.
  6. Pour the au jus from the crockpot into small bowls for dipping.

Notes

For a fancier touch, toast the buns and melt the provolone under the broiler for 1-2 minutes.
