Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

Ingredients
1 package frozen cheddar pierogies
1 can creamy chicken broth
1 lb savory kielbasa, sliced
1 cup melted cheddar cheese
1 onion, optional, sliced
2 cloves garlic, optional, minced
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste

Instructions
In a slow cooker, layer the cheddar pierogies evenly at the bottom.
Slice the kielbasa and layer it on top of the pierogies.
Pour the creamy chicken broth over the top.
If using, add sliced onion and minced garlic.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the pierogies are heated through and tender.
In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the melted cheddar cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
Notes
For vegetarian options, substitute with plant-based sausage and vegetable broth. Stir gently halfway through cooking for better flavor melding.
