Description
A hands-off comfort food casserole made with frozen cheddar pierogies, savory kielbasa, and creamy broth, topped with gooey melted cheddar.

- 1 package frozen cheddar pierogies
- 1 can creamy chicken broth
- 1 lb savory kielbasa, sliced
- 1 cup melted cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, optional, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, optional, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, layer the cheddar pierogies evenly at the bottom.
- Slice the kielbasa and layer it on top of the pierogies.
- Pour the creamy chicken broth over the top.
- If using, add sliced onion and minced garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the pierogies are heated through and tender.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the melted cheddar cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
Notes
For vegetarian options, substitute with plant-based sausage and vegetable broth. Stir gently halfway through cooking for better flavor melding.
