Instructions

  1. Start by harvesting fresh dandelion heads. Pinch or cut off the yellow petals and rinse them. Pat dry gently.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and dandelion petals.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, oil, and honey.
  5. Mix wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined—do not overmix.
  6. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter in.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for another 20 minutes.
  8. Let the bread rest in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing.
