Ingredients

  • 1 key ring or lobster clasp
  • 1 chenille pipe cleaner (any color)
  • 1 large bead (for the head)
  • 3–5 medium beads (for the body)
  • 2 sparkly or mesh pipe cleaners (for wings)
  • Optional: googly eyes
  • Optional: craft glue
  • Optional: small ribbon

Instructions

  1. Build the Body: Fold the chenille pipe cleaner in half. Slide the large bead onto the folded end to form the head. Add 3–5 medium beads to the doubled section for the body, then twist the end to secure.
  2. Shape the Wings: Twist one sparkly pipe cleaner into a figure-eight to create two wings. Repeat with the second pipe cleaner. Twist both together at the center and wrap around the body just behind the head.
  3. Attach to Key Ring: Use the remaining chenille stem to twist the dragonfly onto the key ring or lobster clasp. Secure tightly. Use jewelry pliers if needed for a clean finish.
  4. Decorate: Add googly eyes, ribbon, or other embellishments with craft glue for extra flair.
