Description

Create magical fizzing treasure rocks that reveal hidden surprises with a fizzy explosion!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 cups of baking soda
  • Water
  • Food coloring
  • Treasures (small toys or candies)
  • Bowls
  • Spoons

Instructions

  1. Measure 2–3 cups of baking soda into separate bowls, one for each color you want to create.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl to create vibrant hues. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add water while mixing until the mixture holds its shape when squeezed.
  4. Form a flattened handful in your palm, insert a treasure in the center, and shape it into a rock.
  5. Let the rocks dry for 24 hours until fully hard.
  6. Use them in a treasure hunt or give them as surprise gifts.
  7. Drop the rocks in vinegar and watch the fizzy reaction reveal the treasure!
  8. For extra fun, use squirt bottles of vinegar for interactive play.

Notes

Store finished rocks in a dry place. Use supervision with small parts if making for young children.
