- 2 chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces bowtie pasta
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the butter until melted, then add the heavy cream and chicken broth. Mix well.
- Add Italian seasoning and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the sauce and mix until well coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Do not overcook the chicken; cook it just until it is no longer pink. Keep the heat moderate when adding cream to prevent splitting.
