Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt.
  4. Cook the shrimp, stirring occasionally, until they are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  1. For a lighter version, substitute olive oil for butter. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp as they turn rubbery very quickly.
