Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are softened.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add the frozen peas and mix well.
  6. Pour the turkey mixture into a baking dish.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine mashed potatoes with butter and milk until creamy.
  8. Spread the mashed potatoes over the turkey mixture.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
