- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.
- Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the frozen peas and mix well.
- Pour the turkey mixture into a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine mashed potatoes with butter and milk until creamy.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the turkey mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
