Description
Delicious turkey meatballs cooked in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free options)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, minced onion, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix honey and soy sauce together. Pour this sauce over the meatballs in the skillet.
- Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve warm garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
For a different vibe, swap ground turkey for ground chicken or add a tablespoon of olive oil for extra juiciness.
