Million Dollar Lasagna

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
12 oz no boil lasagna noodles
16 oz ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
Preheat
your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook
ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir
in marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Combine
ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
Spread
a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, followed by noodles, then ricotta mixture. Repeat layers finishing with meat sauce.
Sprinkle
mozzarella cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove
foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Cool
for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Let it rest before slicing for the best results. Use quality ingredients for a richer flavor.
