Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup beef broth
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
10 oz linguine noodles
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
4 green onions, sliced

Instructions
Cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add minced garlic to the beef and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, ground black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix well.
Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry, then add to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Add cooked linguine to the skillet and toss until coated in the sauce.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
Notes
For added heat, substitute red pepper flakes with Sriracha. This dish can be made ahead and reheated; store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.
