- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add orzo pasta and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender.
- Stir in steamed broccoli and parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
Notes
For a creamier consistency, add a splash of cream or cream cheese when mixing in the parmesan.
