Pasta and Peas

Ingredients
200g small pasta such as shells or ditalini
1 cup fresh or frozen peas
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions
In
a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
Add
the pasta and broth to the pot and bring to a boil. Cook according to package instructions until the pasta is al dente.
Stir
in the peas and heavy cream and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
Season
with salt and pepper to taste. Give it a test bite and adjust as needed.
Serve
warm topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Watch the pasta carefully to avoid overcooking. Adjust seasonings to taste throughout the cooking process.
