Ingredients

- 200g small pasta such as shells or ditalini
- 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
- Add the pasta and broth to the pot and bring to a boil. Cook according to package instructions until the pasta is al dente.
- Stir in the peas and heavy cream and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Give it a test bite and adjust as needed.
- Serve warm topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
