Description

A comforting and easy one-dish Pork Chop Casserole featuring creamy mushroom soup, rice, and cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced onions or bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Brown the pork chops in a large skillet on both sides and remove from heat.
  4. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheese in a bowl.
  5. Layer the cooked rice in a baking dish, then place the pork chops on top.
  6. Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops and rice.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

For best texture, use hot cooked rice and brown the chops well.
