Quick and Easy Homemade Taco Meat

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Taco shells or tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned. Break the meat apart with a spatula so it cooks evenly and the onions soften.
  2. Drain excess grease. Remove the fat or use a paper towel to blot it out if preferred.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Mix thoroughly so every morsel gets coated.
  4. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let the flavors mingle.
  5. Serve in taco shells or tortillas and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

  1. Adjust seasoning to taste and feel free to experiment with toppings.
