Ingredients
- Fresh bread (sub roll or Italian loaf, 8 to 10 inches)
- Capicola (a few thin slices)
- Mortadella (a few slices)
- Genoa Salami (a handful of thin slices)
- Provolone cheese (2 to 3 slices)
- Optional toppings: iceberg or romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onion, pickles, or pepperoncini
- Condiments: olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, black pepper, oregano
- Optional: a pinch of Italian seasoning or fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- Slice the fresh bread lengthwise without cutting all the way through to create a hinge.
- Layer the Capicola, Mortadella, Genoa Salami, and Provolone cheese inside the bread.
- Optionally add your favorite toppings and drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful sub sandwich. Cut in half for shareability or leave whole.
