  • Cotton balls

Instructions

  1. Begin by filling 1/3 of your jar with water and add a few drops of blue food coloring. Stir until blended.
  2. Gently pack cotton balls into the jar, filling to the water level. Add glitter and stir lightly.
  3. Fill the next 1/3 of the jar with more cotton balls for a fluffy texture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix red food coloring with water and stir.
  5. Carefully pour the red mixture into the jar, letting it flow over the cotton. Add more glitter.
  6. Top the jar with a final layer of cotton balls and repeat the red coloring if needed.
  7. Seal the jar with its lid and admire your handmade ‘Universe in a Jar’!

Notes

You can use different colors like purple or teal for added dimension. Glow-in-the-dark glitter adds a magical nighttime effect.
